Welcome to the Education Page of the Pittsburgh Regional Center for Science Teachers (PRCST) Lewis & Clark Website!

One of numerous Lewis and Clark websites, the PRCST site provides a focus on the value of the Eastern Legacy, and in particular the Pittsburgh region, to this vital expedition. A major highlight is the scientific aspect of the Voyage of Discovery.

Initial support for this site was provided by:

On this site you will find:

  • Teacher pages with lesson plans, standards,  and the Science-Technology-Society by Green Design instructional strategy.
  • Student pages with games, puzzles, and information about the Native American tribes encountered by Lewis and Clark.
  • Webquests and ideas to promote student research.
  • Resources (Websites, Maps, Books, Explorations-NASA, etc.)

Explore all the components and let us know how you use the lesson plans, games and webquests. This is a dynamic site still under construction. If you want to contribute to this site contact Jane Konrad (konrad@pitt.edu).
